PFA Young Player Of The Year 2011

Samir Nasri

Started the season off flying, with the absence of Cesc he shone. But with injuries and Arsenal’s slump in form he faded, but still has had his best season at Arsenal scoring 9 goals.


Javier Hernandez


The little man from Mexico has had a great first season in England. He is a goal poacher who comes alive in the box. Similar to another United great Solskjaer is he carries on he can turn out to be even better.


Nani


Has had his best season at Old Trafford with 9 goals he is now showing the player he can be and why Fergie invested in him. His improvement co-insides with the departure of Ronaldo.

Jack Wilshere


He started the season as one of the Arsenal kids for the future, but now is a first team regular and an England starter. No player has grown more than Wilshere this season, who has held his own against some of the best midfielders across Europe this year.

Seamus Coleman


The young Irishman has been a key part to the Everton set up this season and is now getting recognised for his work. Others at Goodison may get the tabloid inches but he has a big future ahead of him.


Joe Hart

England and Manchester City’s number one has been consistent all season and there’s no sign of him giving up either jersey any time soon.


Gareth Bale


Has had a great season his hat-trick at the San Siro was a definite highlight, bagging 7 goals this season. He has tormented right backs all year. He would have done a lot more but the young Welshman still picks up a lot of injuries which could hinder him in the long run.


My pick would be Gareth Bale at Tottenham

QPR - Who is to blame

It looks like QPR will be playing Championship football next season after a disappointing & gutting draw against Wigan on Sunday. After going down to 10 men when Bobby Zamora foolishly got himself sent off, Rangers took the lead with a goal by Lioc Remy who has been nothing more then sensational for QPR. However they let themselves down once again by giving away a free kick in the dieing seconds where Shaun Maloney curled it in to the top corner. As the silence fell at Loftus Road realisation was for the fans they knew there's no way they can crawl there way back and survive from this.   So who is to blame for the carnage of a season QPR have had:   1. Mark Hughes - This is the man who last season said 'We will never be in this position again with me in charge' Well he was right, in fact it was a even worse position.  Hughes wasted big money on players who simply didn't care & were just their for a final pay day. As the dust settles and all the teams have played their first games at this year’s World Cup I look back at the early talking points of the tournament. England’s performance was not the best but it also wasn’t the worst. Rob Greens howler will live long in the memory of English football now. He will get hounded at every away ground next season just like James, Carson and Robinson have gone through. I think England will learn a lot from the USA game, and I truly think that Joe Cole has to be on the pitch. I would play him behind Rooney which means dropping Heskey even though he did play well on Saturday. My team on Friday would be, Green (One more chance to save his England career), Johnson, Terry, Dawson, A. Cole, Barry, Lennon, Lampard, Gerrard, J. Cole and Rooney. The most impressive team so far have been Germany. They walked all over Australia and with a very young side they could go a long way.
