Jack's Back!


 After his long term injury Jack Wilshere made his return to the England side with a man of the match display against Brazil last night. The Arsenal midfielder showed his class in which was only his 7th appearance for his country. It's clear he will be a massive part of the England side in the future. He is one of the countries most naturally gifted footballers like Rooney, he is strong, likes a tackle, a good passer of the ball, the only criticism his maybe his lack of goal scoring. This can of course all be worked on & improved. He played in a three man midfield along side Tom Cleverley & Steven Gerrard against Brazil which worked well. Gerrard’s experience with the two youngsters along side him doing most of the running seems to be Hodgson’s plan for the future.
 
 Wilshere is a very talented footballer and his injury did set him back but it looks like he will come out of it an even better player. His determination and passion to succeed shows the character of the man. For him, England & Arsenal to reach their potential he has to become the 'key man' in the side. For England it’s vital they don’t waste him or throw him on the wing to fit in others like England have done in the past. He should play in the middle of the park, in the same role as he did against Brazil, in the future if he improves his goal scoring rate he could push a little further forward making him the number ‘10’ or the play-maker role. His connection with Gerrard & Rooney is key at the minute but in the long run I feel it will be himself, Phil Jones, Tom Cleverley, Rooney, Oxlade-Chamberlain & Walcott that will prove vital to how well England play & how far they go in tournament football.

 For Arsenal it’s clear their building the team around Wilshere, Cazorla, Walcott & Podolski. They still do need a bit of steal in defence and maybe another striker but you can see what Wenger is trying to do, spending as little money as possible. He tied down the younger players to new deals, but at Arsenal that don’t mean much. He could really be the main man at the Arsenal just like Henry & Vieira. He will for sure be the captain one day, but they must start winning trophies so he sticks around. He does have all the potential to be a great player for club and country. Jack can do that as long as he is stays fit and is used in the right way.

QPR - Who is to blame

It looks like QPR will be playing Championship football next season after a disappointing & gutting draw against Wigan on Sunday. After going down to 10 men when Bobby Zamora foolishly got himself sent off, Rangers took the lead with a goal by Lioc Remy who has been nothing more then sensational for QPR. However they let themselves down once again by giving away a free kick in the dieing seconds where Shaun Maloney curled it in to the top corner. As the silence fell at Loftus Road realisation was for the fans they knew there's no way they can crawl there way back and survive from this.   So who is to blame for the carnage of a season QPR have had:   1. Mark Hughes - This is the man who last season said 'We will never be in this position again with me in charge' Well he was right, in fact it was a even worse position.  Hughes wasted big money on players who simply didn't care & were just their for a final pay day. As the dust settles and all the teams have played their first games at this year’s World Cup I look back at the early talking points of the tournament. England’s performance was not the best but it also wasn’t the worst. Rob Greens howler will live long in the memory of English football now. He will get hounded at every away ground next season just like James, Carson and Robinson have gone through. I think England will learn a lot from the USA game, and I truly think that Joe Cole has to be on the pitch. I would play him behind Rooney which means dropping Heskey even though he did play well on Saturday. My team on Friday would be, Green (One more chance to save his England career), Johnson, Terry, Dawson, A. Cole, Barry, Lennon, Lampard, Gerrard, J. Cole and Rooney. The most impressive team so far have been Germany. They walked all over Australia and with a very young side they could go a long way.
