This weekend the focus is at the foot of the table again as Reading have a huge game against Southampton. It will be Nigel Adkins first game in charge at the Madejski Stadium taking on his former side. The way he was treated at St Mary's was very harsh and he will want nothing more to get one over his old side. However Reading can not defend for their life's and Southampton are pretty decent going forward. I think Reading could manage a draw but that won't be enough. 

Norwich who are not out of the woods yet face Swansea.They have won the last 3 meetings against the Swans and they probably will win on Saturday and secure their Premier League place for another season. Stoke have a massive game at home to Aston Villa, Stoke have lost 5 of their last 7 in the league and if Villa can get the win they will only be one point behind them. 

On Sunday Paulo Di Canio takes his Sunderland side to Chelsea, a place where he has good memories but it will be very hard for the blacks cats to pick up anything at Stamford Bridge. Then at Loftus Road it really is a must win game for QPR they have blow so many chances to dig themselves out of this mess their in. On Sunday a defeat to Wigan will be the end for them. It will be interesting how Wigan approach the game with the FA Cup semi final to play next weekend. However they do know a win at QPR will see them gone. I wonder how many of these QPR super-stars they have collected will stick around for Championship football, but more importantly who will buy them? 

At the top of the league Arsenal could jump to fourth on Saturday if they win at West Brom. This would put pressure om Chelsea & Tottenham on Sunday, like I said I can see Chelsea winning but Tottenham have Everton who are still pushing for top four finish so it will be a serious test of Spurs' nerves as Arsenal are creeping up. Bale missing is a blow. 

On Monday night its the Manchester derby but this one won't be no title decider like last year.The league is done but this is really about humiliation & revenge for United. That 6-1 still hurts and how City won the league on the last day hurts even more. They would want to get one over on their rivals and a big win on Monday would be a good way to rub the City fan faces in it. Man United could win the league at Arsenal in a few weeks which also would be good for the fans as Arsenal done it to them in 2002.

QPR - Who is to blame

It looks like QPR will be playing Championship football next season after a disappointing & gutting draw against Wigan on Sunday. After going down to 10 men when Bobby Zamora foolishly got himself sent off, Rangers took the lead with a goal by Lioc Remy who has been nothing more then sensational for QPR. However they let themselves down once again by giving away a free kick in the dieing seconds where Shaun Maloney curled it in to the top corner. As the silence fell at Loftus Road realisation was for the fans they knew there's no way they can crawl there way back and survive from this.   So who is to blame for the carnage of a season QPR have had:   1. Mark Hughes - This is the man who last season said 'We will never be in this position again with me in charge' Well he was right, in fact it was a even worse position.  Hughes wasted big money on players who simply didn't care & were just their for a final pay day. English sides in Champions League..

A look at the English sides in Champions League action this week. Real Madrid v Liverpool  Out of form Liverpool head to Madrid which was always going to be the toughest game of the group. They were given a footballing master class at Anfield by the current European Champions as they won 3-0. Madrid are on a 11 game winning streak in all competitions and I only see that continuing. Liverpool are struggling, Mario Balotelli hasn't lived up to the hype, while Gerrard is struggling this season and it looks like he will be rested, or in other words 'dropped'. There is a clear over reliance on Raheem Sterling, if you keep him quite you keep Liverpool quite. They still can't defend, which cost them their first ever Premier League title. I see Real Madrid winning this 4-0 with Ronaldo scoring the first. Arsenal v Anderlecht  Arsenal could practically seal their place in the knock-out stages of the Champions League with a win here.
