Moyes 3 Biggest Games Of His Career


It went from bad to worse for Manchester United on Sunday as they were humiliated by arch rival Liverpool 3-0 at Old Trafford. The league has been over for a long time but pride and bragging rights were still up for grabs however,  United were simple outplayed in all areas. The fans carried on singing and chanting '20 times' in reference to their league titles but it may be a long wait for 21. How much time will David Moyes get? Will he be trusted with even more money? Will he be able to attract names as they won't be in the Champions League next season? Anderson's parting shot was he had lost some of the dressing, was he right or just being bitter?

Tough questions but let's look at some Rafa style facts.

The money he has spent, Fellaini £28m - He's good at being an attacking midfielder but he has not played in that position for United and never will. As a defensive midfielder he gets exposed for his lack of pace & United already have players who can play role. I won't say he is not a United player but he is not living up to expectations.

Are players from Atletico Madrid,  Juventus or Benfica going to leave their clubs who are all in Champions League, off the back of a World Cup summer to play in the Europa league and gamble on Moyes turning it around.

Is he going to get the big names in, is he a big enough pull. Ferguson seemed to be the one who got Mata over the line. The Sir Alex factor being at every game gazing down on the man he handpicked fail has not done him any favours.

Can Mata, Rooney & R.V.P all play together? And where have all the good wingers gone at United?

I think Moyes has 3 games to save face. Tonight against Olympiakos, the result  is massive, he needs a classic European night at the Theatre of Dreams. If they turn it around it will be a massive boost, but it can also turn into a nightmare for him.

After that it's West Ham away on Saturday a tough place to go at the best of times. West Ham will be up for it live on Sky Sports, Big Sam would love to get one over United. The Reds have a good record at Upton Park but Moyes has shattered all types of records this year.


Then it's Manchester City after that. City were easy winners earlier this season, they have won on their last two visits to Old Trafford in the league and if they like many others walk all over United at Old Trafford in a few weeks Moyes' time could well be up. The Glazers have been patient and the fans have been supportive. You may say he needs more time but you don't have time in modern day football.  Of course Man United could win the next three and gain some much needed  confidence, so let's see if these players can get Moyes and themselves out of this mess they're in.

QPR - Who is to blame

It looks like QPR will be playing Championship football next season after a disappointing & gutting draw against Wigan on Sunday. After going down to 10 men when Bobby Zamora foolishly got himself sent off, Rangers took the lead with a goal by Lioc Remy who has been nothing more then sensational for QPR. However they let themselves down once again by giving away a free kick in the dieing seconds where Shaun Maloney curled it in to the top corner. As the dust settles and all the teams have played their first games at this year’s World Cup I look back at the early talking points of the tournament. England’s performance was not the best but it also wasn’t the worst. Rob Greens howler will live long in the memory of English football now. He will get hounded at every away ground next season just like James, Carson and Robinson have gone through.
