Capital One Cup Preview

A London Derby will headline the Capital One Cup final on Sunday as Chelsea face Tottenham at Wembley Stadium. The two are split one win each this season in the league so both will be up for this one as there's no love lost between the two clubs.

Tottenham will be hoping star man Harry Kane can put on the performance as he did at White Hart Lane against Chelsea. Kane has been on fire this year, he scored the winner in the North London Derby so to become a even bigger star at the lane this year a cup final winner will be everything Spurs fans will be dreaming of.

A disappointing defeat in the Europa League in the week off the back of a late late goal against West Ham means Spurs are coming in to this game out of form at the worst possible time.

Chelsea fresh off the Jose's Goals on Sunday rant will be itching to put more silverware in the cabinet. Off the field antics in France have overshadowed the club in recent weeks, can they make the headlines for the right reasons now?

Chelsea do have a very successful record at Wembley and they are the favourites. They should win but I'm going for a 'Cup upset' on Sunday and Tottenham march out of Wembley Stadium with the first piece of silverware this season.

Tottenham to win and both teams to score. 8/1

Kane to score first 8/1

Premier League Preview

The Premier League returns this weekend and draws up a few taking point. Tim Sherwood takes charge of his first game of Aston Villa at Villa Park as they host Stoke, confidence should be high as they beat Leicester City in the FA Cup and Lambert's sacking seem to go down well with the fans. Tim Sherwood should get that new manager effect as I expect Villa to win this.

Also down near the foot of the league the KC Stadium host a vital game as Hull play QPR. Rangers have appointed Chris Ramsey until the end of the season after abandoning the 'Dream Manager' hunt. QPR picked up there first points away from home at Sunderland last time out with an impressive 2-0 win. The pressure will be on as both sides as they know a win could be vital come the end of the season. I expect this one to end in a draw.

Sunderland had a disappointing result in the cup against Bradford and West Brom will be no easy task. Pulis is working his relegation wonders again and it will be tricky for Sunderland to break them down his side and Defoe is out injured does not do them any favours.

Burnley face the tough task of travelling to Stamford Bridge. Off the field antics shadowed their draw in midweek at PSG,
However they should have no issues with Burnley here.

Manchester United have only lost 1 game in their last 15 in the Premier League, L.V.G still likes to chop and change his team but I feel they should beat Swansea here if Radamel Falcao starts on the bench as he has been a bit of a joke. I would like to see Rooney up front now as he's good in midfield but I feel Rooney is Manchester United's best striker.

The London derby at White Hart Lane would be the last place Big Sam would want to go, talk of him leaving at the end of the season over-shadowing their very impressive season. No love lost between these two so a Spurs win could spark more stick from the West Ham fans who let Sam know there disgust at going out of the FA Cup 4-0 to West Brom last weekend.

Everton off the heels of a very impressive 4-1 win over Young Boys face bottom of the table Leicester City which they should have no trouble with. To close the Premier League weekend Liverpool travel to their feeder club who are doing miles better than them this season on the South Coast as they play Southampton. This one I also see being a draw.
